Today was the day, the first time in way too long, that we constructed a stage for JazzFest at Confederation park!
While much scaled back, a small crew of volunteers arrived to empty tents and a full truck. We spent the day installing a stage, placing speakers and running the infrastructure cables to make it all happen.
It felt great to haul stage stuff and plug things in. It was also fascinating to see things arrive and build up to a full concert:
Fencing arrived and was installed, toilets arrived, chairs and tables arrived, and the all important, beer and cocktails arrived.
It’s all ready for musicians and music fans. Thanks to Glenn, Tomo, Kent, Larry and Jennifer lending brains and braun.
